The National Resilience Research & Development (NRRD) Working Group is a new independent innovation initiative which aims to bring together appropriately skilled and experienced individuals across the public service and resilience communities, including the emergency services, the armed forces and health and social care sectors to;

1. Create a collaborative academic forum to discuss gaps in research and policy relating to national resilience,
2.  To utilise the hybrid skill set brought together by volunteers, thus merging best practice within a public service and diverse industry context,
3.  To develop and implement innovative research projects in collaboration with partner agencies and organisations to further explore the gaps in research and consequently inform the policy landscape and its practical application,
4.  Support the translation of data into useful and meaningful intelligence to aid practices to implement new policy and/or service quality improvements.
